Bio: Gumbo is a sweet, easygoing boy who initially arrived at PACC with his brother. He was briefly adopted and we learned that he is both house and crate trained, likes car rides, and is a couch potato. He loves fruit and bonds deeply with his trusted people.
Here’s what some of his friends at the shelter have said:
“Gumbo was very easy to leash, walk, and return to his kennel. He walked with a loose leash, and he did not react to other dogs being walked, or other people. He stepped on a thorn and let me handle him to take the thorn out. He took treats gently. An all-around good boy.”
“Gumbo was easy to leash and exit and was a very good walker. He sat for treats and took them gently. He was calm and mellow and well behaved. Nice and easy boy.”
“Gumbo is an adorable pup. Easy to leash, nice to walk to a yard. He makes noises like a dinosaur- it makes you laugh out loud! He likes to be petted and takes treats gently. He is well- behaved, friendly, affectionate, and delightful.”
“I met Gumbo for the first time today and it was a joy. He is such a calm, gentle boy. He sits nicely for treats and takes them with a gentle mouth. He was super easy to leash up and walked perfectly. He was a slow, loose leash, casual walker as he loved to sniff out all the smells in the park. After we walked a bit, we sat on the grass where he loved to be loved on with scratches. What a sweet boy he is.”
Gumbo has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. He needs time to feel safe in a new place and with new people, but has tons of love to offer in return for a little bit of patience. Ask to meet Gumbo today!
