Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 4 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Dec 06, 2025 and am ready to go home today!

Bio: Bashful is a cuddly pup who brings kisses and snuggles to ALL! He may have fit his name when he first came to the shelter, but he’s completely come out of his shell since then! Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:
“Bashful greeted me at the kennel door with a waggy tail. He was friendly and I was easily able to leash him up. We went over to a play yard where he and his kennelmate explored and went potty and then they both came over to me for snuggles! Bashful is so friendly and affectionate, he just loves to put his snoot into your hand, hoping for pets. He is super- duper sweet; a complete love bug! I knelt on the ground and he got as close to me as possible, snuggling in close, as though we were puzzle pieces! I sat down on the ground with my legs out in front of me and he laid right on top of me, stretching out so that he covered my legs and I could have the best position to scratch his belly. He's a ham! He has the cutest little piggy snort, it's adorable!”
“Bashful is definitely misnamed- he was very excited to have me come in his kennel, happy and wagging and very friendly. Out in the park, he walked great on the leash. He has the cutest little white speckled socks on hisfront feet. He’s a pretty skinny boy so he was very hungry for as many treats as I would give him, and he would have sat and let me pet him the rest of the day I think.”
Bashful is also a day trip favorite who has been described as loving, gentle and well- behaved:
“Bashful is the sweetest, most loving, gentlest dog. He is such a goofball and he was absolutely delighted to be anywhere and do anything. I can say with 100% certainty that fall is his favorite season, because he had so much fun chasing the leaves that were blowing away. Bashful was extremely well-behaved and stayed right by my side in the Starbucks while I got his pup cup, which he very much enjoyed! After our walk, he immediately flopped down with me to take a nap, wanting to be as close as possible. He was shyer earlier in the day, but after about an hour of being out he was so excited to meet people. He's cuddly, easygoing, loving, and a great companion. I absolutely loved my day with Bashful and I hope he has many more fun outings!”
Bashful shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. If you’re missing a furry piece to your family’s puzzle, look no further than Bashful!
