Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 10 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Dec 11, 2025 and am ready to go home today!

Bio: Creedence Clearwater Revival sang the classic rock hit “Born on the Bayou”, which included the lyrics:
“Wish I was back on the Bayou
Rollin' with some Cajun Queen
Wishin' I were a fast freight train
Just a chooglin' on down to New Orlean”
Well, we don’t know if our Bayou was actually born on the bayou (or has ever been to a bayou), but this chonky Cajun queen would love to be chooglin’ down to a home of her very own! Bayou spent over a month in a foster home- here’s what we learned:
- She did GREAT with an 8-year kiddo and even a baby
- She did very well with other dogs, including small dogs and puppies
- She loves to snooze on the couch with her favorite blanket
- She was well- behaved when left home alone and was house trained with a doggy door
- She’s playful and loves chew toys
- She is smart and easy to train and will do ANYTHING for sliced cheese
- She is very loving
- She needs a home without cats
Bayou shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Bayou today!!
