Bio: If we could give out an award at the shelter for the pup who has come the farthest, we’d give it to Kaida!! Kaida is an adorable boy with the cutest droopy lips and squishy-looking snoot. He’s a brave pup who was pretty uncertain when he came into the shelter, but who is thriving now! While in the shelter, he’s learned important doggy skills like how to walk on leash and has bonded with his volunteer friends. These days he loves to go for walks and loves getting affection from his favorite people!
During a very brief stay in a home Kaida did well with another resident dog and was described as friendly and affectionate when he feels safe. He’ll need time to learn about life in a home but is a smart and sweet boy who deserves time to do that and will bond deeply with a patient family.
Here’s what some of Kaida’s friends have said:
“Kaida has had a big breakthrough! He put his front paws on my lap and let me pet him! He was really cuddly, sniffing my face and giving me gentle kisses. Thank you, Kaida, for such a sweet moment!”
“Kaida walked well this morning. We sat down in the grass and he accepted some touch and scratches. We had a good walk back to the shelter.”
“Kaida is adjusting to the shelter He was easy to leash this week and had a blast in the play yard with his kennelmate, roughhousing and bouncing around. Kaida is a sweet and goofy guy.”
Kaida shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup He’ll likely benefit from a confident dog friend in his future home to help him learn the ropes. Kaida is looking for a patient family who will give him positive reinforcement and help him continue to gain confidence. If you’re a sucker for a super cute mug and a pup who could use some extra love and time, look no further than Kaida!
