Bio: Fellow foodies will tell you that food is a straight path to our hearts! Skip the small talk, give us the amuse-bouche; forget the chatter; show us your best vintage. Meet Apollo, a sweet senior pup who knows the value of a good treat!
Apollo is understandably confused as to how he ended up in the shelter after being in a home for the past eight years. In his former home he was reported to be a big sweet couch potato who always wanted to be by his person’s side and was crate and house trained with a doggy door. His volunteer friends sure think he’s a brave guy, sharing:
“Apollo is a sweet guy who seems overwhelmed here in the shelter. But, get him in a play yard and show him you’ve got the treats and you;re on your way to winning his heart! I hung out in a play yard with him today and after a few minutes and a handful of treats, he came over and let me pet him briefly. He’s a super sweetheart!”
Apollo shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident pups before heading home.
Many people and dogs alike develop a more refined palate as we mature- our friend groups gets smaller and we’re more particular about the way we spend our time. Apollo is hoping to find a comfy and quiet retirement home for his golden years where visitor traffic is low and relaxation is high! We certainly get not being thrilled with crowds and we understand the need to duck out of a party early! If you’re looking for a low-key senior to binge watch your favorite shows and try your hand at the Great British Baking show recipes, Apollo would love to join you!
