Bio: Apollo is a spry senior who spent eight years (!!!) in his former home. He was reported to be a big sweet couch potato who always wanted to be by his person’s side and was crate and house trained with a doggy door. He recently had the opportunity to take a two-week shelter vacation- here’s what his foster said:
“Apollo is a friendly, loving dog who is definitely a couch potato. He loves walks and treats, and he is so fun to play with! He loves to spend time with his person. Apollo isn't really a toy lover but absolutely loves to go outside and run wild occasionally. He is a smart boy and is housetrained and crate trained. He was a calm houseguest when left alone and would wait until I got home to take him out to the bathroom. He was shy when first meeting people but warmed up after a bit.”
Apollo is also a volunteer favorite at the shelter:
“Apollo is a sweet guy. Get him in a play yard and show him you’ve got treats and you’re on your way to winning his heart! He’s a super sweetheart!”
“Apollo is a senior citizen, but you would never know it by looking at him or hanging out with him! He has a rangy athletic build, and he’s a happy energetic guy! He is an excited walker starting out, but after just a couple of minutes, he settles into a very nice loose leash walker. He loves to sniff. When I sat on a bench, he came in close, loving to be petted and enjoying treats, which he took very gently. He also knows sit.
Apollo shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident pups before heading home. Ask to meet Apollo today!!
