Bio: Just like her name implies, Emerald is a true gem! During a stay in foster she did well around kids as young as 10 and other dogs. Emerald’s foster family described her as gentle, polite, loyal, sweet and mellow. She can be timid when meeting new people but just needs a bit of time to warm up. She is crate trained but isn’t a huge fan of being left home alone, so would love to find a family where someone is home often.
Emerald will need surgery on her hips and is on medication for pain, so needs a family committed to her long-term health. She has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
