Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 8 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Feb 21, 2026 and am ready to go home today!

Bio: If you take a poll of your friends and ask their favorite cheese, you’ll likely hear the classics- cheddar, swiss, pepper jack…maybe even havarti, brie, or goat cheese. You’re highly unlikely to hear “gorgonzola” as a favorite, but this sharp, tangy, blue variety can be found on the finest cheese plates and charcuterie boards! This specialty cheese may not be for everyone, but those who love it, REALLY love it! Much like the cheese, our pup named Gorgonzola is looking for someone who will appreciate his unique goodness. His volunteer friends have watched in delight as he has started to blossom in the shelter!
“It’s amazing how much progress Gorgonzola has made in two weeks. He walked calmly for the short distance to the play yard. He loved hanging out there with his kennelmate, running around and enjoying fresh air.”
“Gorgonzola is an adorable little cattle dog who is coming around more and more! He's a pretty shy guy but is getting more comfortable with approaching people and taking treats! ?While in a play yard today, he came up to me as I offered treats and took them gently from my hand. I can see in his eyes that he really wants to engage, but is still feeling too scared. I can’t wait until he can get into a loving home where he can decompress from shelter stress and really shine!”
Gorgonzola shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit but would likely thrive with a confident furry friend who can show him the ropes in a home.
Just like gorgonzola cheese matches perfectly with fruit, nuts and honey, we’re hoping that Gorgonzola will match with a patient, caring family soon! Come on in and meet him!
