Bio: Misty Copeland is an American ballet dancer, author, and philanthropist who made history as the first African American woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre in 2001. We have a darling pup named Misty whose aspirations are quite different- she just hopes to open the door to a furever home where she will be kept safe and loved! Shelter staff and volunteers are cheering for this brave girl, saying:
“Misty is a very sweet and laid-back girl. She enjoys short walks and she leashes and unleashes nicely. She enjoys taking in the scents along the way and takes treats gently.”
“Misty is a friendly girl who is very easy to leash and walks well considering her full leg cast. She didn't want to go very far and was a slow walker, but very easy to handle. She is sweet and easy.”
Misty came into the shelter with an injury to her leg and spent time recovering in a cast. She’s gotten her cast off now and is ready to continue to recover in a comfy home. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
