It means that the true nature or intrinsic qualities of a person or thing are more important than the name they go by. In the case of this senior gal, her name is absolutely apropos of her undeniably lovely personality! Volunteers, community members and shelter staff think she is as wonderful as they come!
“Rose greeted me with a big smile and wagging tail. She did a nice sit before exiting and a couple of spins once we got out of the kennel. Out in the park, she was an eager walker. When I sat on a bench, she did an immediate “sit” in front of me to get a cookie and then climbed up onto my lap! She snuggled in for some cuddling and petting. She's a very sweet girl.”
“Rose was an amazing, loving, adventurous pupper on our day trip and earned an “A+”! I'm glad I got to spend the day with her. Rose went for a nice little hike, got some pup ice cream, hung out in the car, and took a nice little nap on the couch. She is an old gal but still has the energy and personality of a younger pup. She is sociable and fun, likes to ride in the car, is leash trained, likes to be outdoors, is housebroken, loves toys, loves to run, and can do tricks!”
“Rose is very well behaved, friendly, loves people, and is very alert and aware. She was very playful for a 10 year old. She’s the sweetest dog and very well potty trained.”
Rose has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking to give a spry senior lady a loving, active home, please ask to meet Rose today!!
