Bio: Bilbo Baggins is the central character of J.R.R. Tolkien’s 1937 novel The Hobbit. A comfort-loving hobbit from the Shire, he is recruited by the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves on a quest to reclaim their ancestral home and treasure from the dragon Smaug. While Bilbo starts out timid and unsure, through his adventures, he grows in courage and resourcefulness! Bilbo Baggins sure reminds us a lot of our cutie pup, Baggins. While he may be a bit shy at first, we have learned that he has a HUGE capacity for love! Here’s what one friend said:
“Baggins is super sweet and he’s a big teddy bear BABY! He is easy to leash, not reactive, and he walks beautifully with another dog by his side! He loves spending time with people and cuddling.”
In playgroup Baggins’s favorite spot is to lounge in the pool! Bonus points for a kiddie pool in his furever home! He’s been tolerant and easygoing with other dogs and has shared his kennel politely.
Shelter staff suspects that Baggins may be vision impaired, but don’t worry! Vision impaired dogs can live very active, healthy, happy lives, just like dogs with full vision. We just know that once he’s comfortable in a new home and has learned to navigate his environment, Baggins will be able to spend all of his energy on what he does best- loving his people! Ask to meet Baggins today!
