Bio: The Velveteen Rabbit is a children’s book published in 1922 about a stuffed rabbit who is transformed into a real rabbit by the love he has for his owner. We have a velveteen sweetheart who is eager to find her furever family and would love to share her heart with her special person!

Darlin was surrendered to the shelter by an overwhelmed caregiver who told us that she had done well with children of all ages, LOVES belly rubs, and is one smart cookie who is crate trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Here’s what some of this brave girl’s friends at the shelter have said:

“Darlin sure is the perfect name for the pretty and poised little lady that I met today! We spent some time in a play yard together where she allowed gentle pets and came close, nuzzling me with her velveteen nose. She gently nuzzled my ear and enjoyed sticking close for cuddles. She became increasingly animated as we spent time together and I can see her silly puppy personality underneath the shelter stress! She is an absolute darling, I can’t wait to see her get outta here and into a loving home!”

“Darlin accepted touch and being close, even semi-leaned on me for a while. She did better walking after that to a grassy area for another good sitdown with pets and belly rubs”.

Darlin shares her kennel politely with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Darlin today!
