Bio: Any desert dweller can tell you that nothing beats the heat like a dip in a cool pool during the blistering summer months- even dogs can agree that playing in a pool can be fun for everyone! Lucky for our shelter pups, they have the opportunity to play in kiddie pools or large water troughs in our play yard. Some dogs take full advantage, like Johnny Boy! His volunteer friends sure get a kick out of watching him frolic! Here’s what one friend said:
“Johnny Boy is a handsome and laid back guy, but wait until you get him near water! He absolutely loved to dig in the water trough in the play yard today- that seemed to turn his on switch on and then he was bouncing around the yard! He is a fun-loving guy! His kennelmate is a pretty scared pup and would go sit by him for comfort and he was a good friend to her.”
Johnny Boy shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
Johnny Boy is looking for a patient and understanding family who will give him time to decompress from the stress of shelter living and open up in his own time. He’s not a jump-in-your-lap on day one kinda guy, but we suspect that when he bonds with his furever family, it will stand the test of time! If you’re looking to welcome a very good boy into your home, Johnny Boy is ready to leave the shelter behind!
