I'm the barkier little lady around here, and while I'm sweet as pie, I am also a very smart young German Shepherd who is going to benefit enormously from having structure and boundaries in my life.
Because here's the thing:
Right now, I'm an adorable little puppy barking at things.
Cute!
Funny!
"Oh Flower, you're so silly!"
But one day I'm going to be a BIG German Shepherd.
And a giant adult dog who's never been taught manners?
CONSIDERABLY LESS CUTE.
So please don't adopt me and let me make all the household decisions because I'm adorable.
I am a baby.
I HAVE TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
I need someone who's going to teach me.
What's expected of me?
What isn't?
When is it appropriate to bark?
When should I settle?
How do I walk nicely?
How do I control myself when something exciting happens?
TEACH ME ALL OF IT.
I'm smart enough to learn!
And that's exactly why I need a family willing to put some effort into me.
German Shepherds aren't decorative couch accessories. I need training, exercise, mental stimulation, consistency, and things to DO.
And after all of that?
Absolutely give me cuddles.
Because underneath my opinions and my enormous potential...
I AM SWEET AS PIE.
I'm only five months old.
I'm not a finished product.
I'm a little puppy standing at the very beginning of what could be an incredible life.
Give me the structure I need now...
and someday you'll look at your amazing adult dog and think:
"WOW. WE DID GOOD."
Flower is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Flower will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption.
If you'd like to meet her please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We're open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.
