Hi, I’m Lily!
4 Years Old • Pug • NYC Apartment-Sized Perfection
I'm Lily, a 4-year-old Pug, and I have a very important question. HAVE YOU SEEN ME?!
I'm a PUG. A real, actual Pug. The whole adorable little package. PEOPLE LOVE PUGS.
I don't make the rules. I just benefit from them. Now, unfortunately, I recently found myself in need of a new home. My previous family was dealing with landlord issues and didn't have enough time to give me the attention I deserve. It's a shame, because I was doing a pretty good job being their dog. But I'm choosing to look on the bright side. I AM NOW AVAILABLE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ADORE. And honestly? I think my adoption prospects are EXCELLENT.
Let's review my qualifications. First of all... I AM THE PERFECT NYC SIZE.
Have you SEEN the apartments around here?! Some of these kitchens are so small you have to step outside to change your mind. And some of these enormous dogs need their own ZIP code.
Me? I'm a conveniently sized little Pug. I can fit in your apartment. I can fit on your couch.
I can fit into your life. I AM PRACTICALLY A REAL ESTATE SOLUTION.
Second... I AM FOUR YEARS OLD. Not a wild baby puppy. Not a little old lady.
I'm right in that wonderful adult-dog sweet spot where I've got plenty of life ahead of me, but I'm not trying to figure out whether the electrical cords are edible.
VERY IMPORTANT DISTINCTION. Third... I AM A HAPPY-GO-LUCKY GIRL!
I have a sweet, easygoing personality, and I'm ready to make the most of whatever wonderful new chapter comes next. I don't need my life to be complicated. I just want a family who has time for me. Someone to love. Someone to hang out with.
Someone who appreciates a very cute little face looking up at them every day.
THAT'S NOT ASKING TOO MUCH, IS IT?! And here's another wonderful thing about me!
I previously lived with a young girl, so I already have experience being part of a family with children. I'm not some delicate little princess who's never encountered a kid before.
I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD. Of course, I'd still appreciate respectful handling and proper supervision, just like any dog. As for other animals? Well...
MY RÉSUMÉ IS A LITTLE THINNER IN THAT DEPARTMENT. I haven't had much experience living with other pets, so we can't promise how I'll feel about every dog or cat I meet.
But I do have a gentle disposition, and with thoughtful introductions, I may do just fine!
I'm also a Pug, which means my future family should understand that my adorable little squishy face comes with some special responsibilities.
I need people who will be mindful of my breathing, especially in hot weather, and who understand the health and care needs that can come with my breed.
I'M CUTE, BUT I AM NOT BUILT FOR RUNNING MARATHONS IN JULY.
I'm sweet, cheerful, and ready for a family who has time to love me.
And I would like to conclude with one final argument in favor of adopting me.
I'M A PUG.
YOUR HONOR, I REST MY CASE.
Lily is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $650, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Lily will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption.
If you'd like to meet her please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We're open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.
Lily can't wait to meet you!
