More Info: I have been at the shelter since Mar 25, 2026.
Bucky is a 1.5 year old Terrier mix and isn’t sure how he ended up back here… but he’s trying his best to be brave about it. He was once someone’s puppy, someone’s best friend, someone’s home and now he’s quietly waiting for that kind of love again. From the moment you meet him, Bucky greets you with soft, sweet eye contact and a gentle heart. He takes treats like a gentleman, and leans into affection like he’s been missing it. There’s something really special about him like the way he watches, learns, and tries so hard to understand what you’re asking. He’s still figuring things out (and yes, he might pull a little on leash or need some encouragement to play), but you can see the potential in him. Give him a little time, a little patience, and he starts to open up either tugging on a toy, wagging his tail, showing glimpses of the happy, goofy dog he’s meant to be. Bucky is friendly with new people and just wants to connect. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need perfection, just someone willing to guide him, love him, and remind him what it feels like to belong again.
