More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jan 29, 2025.
Amber is a 2.5-year-old terrier mix who came into the shelter underweight, but sweet as pie! Thanks to some TLC and regular meals, she’s gained weight and is thriving. Amber is a social, affectionate girl who loves her people. She’s playful, food-motivated, and eager to learn, already mastering basic cues like sit, down, leave it, and drop it. She especially enjoys training sessions when treats are involved!
One of Amber’s favorite things in the world? Water! Whether it’s splashing in a kiddie pool or playing with a hose, she’s happiest when she’s by the water! Amber can become overstimulated by toys and would benefit from structured play and downtime. Because of this, and her desire for human attention, she’ll do best as the only dog in the home. She can also be a strong puller on leash, so a confident handler and a home with kids aged 16+ is ideal. Amber is ready for a loving, solo-dog home where she can continue to blossom.
