Gerty is a 8.5 -year-old female terrier mix who came to the shelter as an owner surrender and has quickly shown herself to be a sweet, affectionate, and gentle companion. Gerty is curious and people-focused, often seeking attention, enjoying petting, and happily giving kisses. She has a loose, relaxed body and a consistently wagging tail, showing her easygoing and friendly nature. Gerty knows basic cues such as “Sit” and “Paw” and enjoys engaging with her handlers. She is also interested in toys and enjoys playtime in a gentle, appropriate way. Gerty would be a good candidate for a home with other dogs. With her affectionate personality, gentle demeanor, and social nature, Gerty would do well in a home with children and could be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loving, well-rounded companion.
