Age: The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 23, 2025.
Meet Tex! Tex is a 4.5-year-old American Bulldog with a big heart and an even bigger smile. Recently surrendered by his owner, Tex has been nothing but a gentleman in our care. He offers the sweetest eye contact and enjoys all-over petting, from head to chest to his wiggly rear. He’s playful with toys (especially ropes, balls, and squeakers!) and will happily trade for treats. He’s also reported to know sit, stay, and fetch. During his food test, Tex showed no guarding with his bowl here in the shelter, but his previous home did report guarding bones/chews from people and dogs, so a home with teens, 14+ is recommended. He’s friendly with new people, walks nicely on leash. Tex is a goofy, loving boy who just wants companionship, playtime, and a comfy couch to snooze on. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, and loyal buddy, Tex might be your guy!
