Meet Brooklyn! At 4 years young, this gorgeous German Shepherd mix is the definition of a gentle soul. If you are looking for a loyal companion who values connection above everything else, Brooklyn is your boy. Brooklyn made it clear that his absolute favorite thing in the world is human affection. He has a sweet, gentle temperament and soft, expressive eyes that will melt your heart. When he meets you, he leans his whole body in for pets, soaking up every bit of love you are willing to give. While the shelter environment can make him a little anxious, Brooklyn has a special trick to find his confidence: tennis balls! Throw a ball for him, and his anxiety completely melts away as he happily hops after it with pure joy. Brooklyn is a dream on leash with only mild, easily steerable pulling, and he showed zero reactivity to his surroundings. Because of his calm and loving demeanor, he would do wonderfully in a home with older children (or experienced younger kids) who can participate in his favorite pastime, giving him endless chin scratches. Brooklyn is ready to leave his kennel behind and find a family to lean on forever. Could it be yours?
