Meet Echo – A Shy Heart with a Playful Spirit

Echo is a 12.5-pound Miniature Schnauzer with a gentle soul and a playful spark that shines brightest around other dogs. Though shy at first and hesitant with people, Echo lights up in the company of canine companions—running, playing, and gaining confidence through their guidance.

She’ll need a calm, patient home with another confident dog already established to help her continue learning the ropes. Echo is still figuring out how to trust people, but she’s showing wonderful potential with each small step forward.

Echo is food motivated, which is a great tool for bonding and building trust. She’ll also need a secure yard where she can safely explore, play, and stretch her legs as she grows more comfortable in her surroundings.

She’s especially playful with other dogs and thrives in a home where she can have a furry friend to keep her company and show her the way.
---------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
With steady encouragement, kindness, and the support of a canine companion, Echo is sure to continue blossoming into a sweet and joyful companion.

Ready to help this shy girl find her voice? Echo might just be the heartwarming addition your home needs.
