Meet Digit – A Shy Guy with a Spunky Side

Digit is a 9.5-pound Miniature Schnauzer who may come off shy at first, but don’t let that fool you — once he feels safe, his spunky and playful personality shines through! He’s a little guy with a big heart and a curious spirit, just waiting for the right home to help him feel confident and loved.

Digit is food motivated and loves a good challenge — puzzle feeders, treat hide-and-seek, or anything that lets him use his nose and brain to track down a snack is his idea of fun! His playful side really comes to life when he’s engaged in these fun activities.

To help him continue building confidence, Digit will require a confident, well-adjusted dog already established in the home. A doggy friend helps him feel secure and gives him the courage to explore the world. He would also do best with a securely fenced yard, where he can safely romp and play at his own pace.

Digit is the perfect mix of cautious and curious — shy at first, but full of personality once he settles in. With a little time and a lot of love, he’ll become a loyal and entertaining companion.

Ready to meet this little guy and see the sparkle behind his shy eyes? Digit might just be your perfect match.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
