Meet Emmy – A Shy Beauty with a Love for Play
Emmy is a 13-pound Miniature Schnauzer with a striking all-black coat and a heart that’s slowly learning to trust. She’s a shy girl who prefers to take things at her own pace, but there’s a quiet confidence growing inside her—especially when she’s surrounded by other dogs.
Playgroup is where Emmy shines. She lights up around canine friends and finds comfort in their presence. Watching her begin to engage and explore during playtime is a reminder of how much potential lies just beneath the surface.
Emmy would thrive in a calm, patient home with a friendly resident dog to help guide her. With time, encouragement, and the support of her furry companions, she’s sure to blossom into a sweet, loyal member of the family.
----
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
