Meet Guacamole – A shy little girl learning that the world isn’t so scary after all.
Guacamole is a 7-year-old Schnauzer who weighs 15 pounds. She’s a nervous and timid pup who is still adjusting to the sights, sounds, and touch of everyday life—but she’s making slow, steady progress with patient support.
She gets along well with other dogs and may benefit from having a calm, confident canine companion in the home to help her feel more secure. While she's still working on getting comfortable with being picked up, she’s learning that gentle hands can bring good things, especially when paired with kindness and consistency.
Guacamole would thrive in a quiet, understanding home with an experienced adopter who can give her time and space to come out of her shell. With the right environment and a little canine encouragement, this shy girl has every chance to grow into a trusting, loyal companion.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
