Description: Staff named me Soldat and I am a neutered male, black and brown German Shepherd Dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old.
More Info: I am now available for adoption.
I was lost but my owner has not found me.
Soldat is a special needs dog who's looking for someone or someones who are in a more relaxed lifestyle that would mesh well with his. At 6 years old this handsome boy weighs 83lbs, and while he is blind that doesn't stop him from being fearless, accepting of any adventure, and maintaining curiosity if only through sight and smell. But because Soldat can't see it’s incumbent on his handler to guide him around sign posts, curbs, etc, and we think verbal cues would quickly be learned. Soldat is ready to give his full trust to his new handler, and his new family! Soldat would benefit best in a household with him bveing the only dog.
A close friend of Soldat has paid for his adoption fee in hopes that he finds a new family that much quicker!!
