Description: My name is Zeus and I am a male, gray and white Pit Bull Terrier.
Age: I am about 3 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jun 16, 2026.
Zeus is a young dog with a big name and an even bigger personality. At just one to two years old, he's still figuring out the world, and sometimes his enthusiasm arrives before his manners do. Once he had a chance to settle in outside of the kennel, though, Zeus showed everyone a much softer side. He happily sought out affection, accepted pets all over, took treats gently, and even showed off his "sit" command. Most importantly, he proved that underneath all that youthful energy is a dog who genuinely enjoys spending time with people.
When given some toys and space to relax, Zeus quickly got down to the serious business of having fun. He entertained himself by tossing toys into the air, playing independently, and then checking back in for attention and scratches. As he relaxed, his body language softened and his playful nature took center stage. Zeus is looking for an adopter who will appreciate his zest for life and help him continue channeling that energy into all the good things young dogs do best: learning, exploring, and making memories. In return, they'll get a fun-loving companion with plenty of charm, a playful spirit, and a bright future ahead of him.
All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet
