Located At: Indianapolis Animal Care Services
Description: My name is Audry and I am a spayed female, white and gray Labrador Retriever mix.
Age: I am about 5 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 07, 2026.
Audry is an adult, 50-pound sweetheart who may need a little time to decide that everything is safe, but her trust is well worth earning. Gentle encouragement and a few treats bring out her full-body wiggles, and patient affection soon has her leaning in for more. Once she is comfortable, she will circle back when the petting stops, happily accept butt scratches, and may even melt right into your lap.
Audry walks nicely on leash, enjoys taking her time to sniff, and is especially fond of treat puzzles. She can become overwhelmed when another dog gets too close, so her experience with dogs, cats, and children remains unknown. What we do know is that Audry is a tenderhearted, affectionate girl who blossoms when given patience and kindness. A home willing to let her settle in at her own pace will gain the privilege of watching a cautious dog discover comfort, confidence, and the joy of finally belonging.
All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet
