Description: My name is Ava and I am a spayed female, tan Pit Bull Terrier.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 28, 2026.
Ava is a 3-year-old, 46-pound dog with a sweet nature and a playful side that appears once she has time to settle. She can be timid in her kennel and cautious with unfamiliar people, but in a quieter room she becomes much more comfortable. Ava enjoys chasing balls, running after stuffed toys, exploring her surroundings, and using her nose to search for scattered treats. She also tolerated her medical examination and handling without issue.
Ava is still learning how to manage her excitement. She may grab or tug on the leash while walking, become jumpy during play, and take treats a little too eagerly. A patient adopter can help her develop calmer leash and treat manners through consistent, positive guidance. Ava’s experience with children, cats, and other dogs is unknown. She would appreciate a home that gives her time to build trust, room to play, and the security to let her sweet personality continue to emerge.
