Located At: Indianapolis Animal Care Services
Description: My name is Sonya Blade and I am a spayed female, gray and white Pit Bull Terrier.
Age: I am about 4 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 04, 2026.
Sonya Blade is a 4-year-old, 42-pound professional lap dog disguised as an adventurous athlete. Outside her kennel, she is affectionate and cuddly, curling into laps and leaning into pets. She takes treats gently, knows sit and down, and has an especially charming interpretation of “down”: rolling onto her back for belly rubs.
Sonya loves sprinting, showing off her zoomies, taking long sniff walks, and playing fetch. She is also happy to exercise her mind with treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and peanut butter-filled enrichment toys. The shelter environment can make her stressed and guarded, so she needs a patient adopter who will let her settle in and approach new situations at her own pace. Once Sonya feels comfortable, her playful, affectionate personality comes shining through. Her experience with children, cats, and other dogs is unknown.
All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet
