I am a neutered male, gold and white Golden Retriever.

Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 6 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 14, 2026.
Coming to us as a stray after being seen roaming for a few days, this cutie entered a neighbor’s yard with his canine friend and decided to seek solace on their porch… Meet Jordan! While safely contained, they awaited our officer’s arrival to assist, getting in a little rest and reprieve from the heat in the meantime.
When our officer arrived, they noted that Jordan - a golden retriever mix- was easy to leash right off the bat and he went right into the truck.
Both dogs remained here at the shelter for their stray holds and, with no chip or ID tag and no one noticing them posted to our website as all strays are, no family came to reclaim them.
Because they were strays, our information about them is limited… but what we do know is they are both a little nervous being here but are BOTH super sweet! They get along great with one another and habe both met another canine friend since arriving.
Jordan/A320980: 1 year 6 months old, neutered male, 38.80 pounds. Met a new friend here at the shelter- little nervous, hiding behind the humans at first. While Jordan got a little stiff as he was sniffed all over while trying to hide with humans, his little tail wags let us know that he was just shy and scared.
We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all. And we do NOT recommend a home with cats for this guy and for the cats in the home!
We are a first come, first served and in-person adoption center and are located at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville, NC.
We are open for adoptions
Monday-Friday 12-5pm
Saturdays 11am-2pm
All of our adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and UTD on all age-appropriate vaccines/preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care upon adopting to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for all.
And remember the 3-3-3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet.
3 days for your new pet to decompress
3 weeks for your new family member to settle in
3 months for them to build trust
Jordan’s adoption fee is $40 – NOW thru end of day August 22, 2026!
Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home.
