Animal information

A730388

Located At: Juneau Animal Rescue
Description: My name is Piffles.
I am a spayed female, white Domestic Shorthair.

Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 23, 2026.
Old sweet Piffles is looking for her forever home after returning to the shelter for the 3rd time.

Poor Piffles has continued to return to JAR with greasy matts and a history of not using the litter box. Her previous owner loved her very much, but her physical condition left her unable to continue to clean up after Piffles, and it was causing her a lot of physical and mental stress.

We're still learning a lot about Piffles and why she sometimes misses the box, but we know she has about a 75% chance of using it day-to-day. While we wait to squeeze her into a clinic visit, she still hasn't met the public!

Piffles is a beautiful 8-year-old longhair who needs a little extra TLC to keep her gorgeous coat in top shape, since extra weight makes it harder for her to groom herself. Piffles may have a crusty exterior coat, but she also has a charming, crusty meow. She may panic when carried down the hallway to the meet-and-greet, but she's eager to make things work and befriend new people!

We need to find our sweet Piffles a stress-free home where white fur won't be an issue. Piffles is a long-haired cat and needs regular grooming to help prevent matting during her weight-loss journey. She needs a calm, understanding home where she can work through her bathroom behaviors in a healthy way and grow into the best cat she can be ?????. She isn't a fan of other cats, but it is unclear how she'd tolerate dogs.

Piffles is looking for her 4th chance. Will you be the one to help her?

Animal visitation is available every day except Tuesday, from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. Closed Sundays.
