INFO: Meet Mumble, a fabulous companion who is ready to find his forever home. He was named after the penguin from the movie "Happy Feet" because of the way he constantly dances to make biscuits on every soft surface, and he truly lives up to his name. Mumble originally came off the streets as a community cat battling a fungal infection called Cryptococcus, which caused significant swelling in his nose. While he is very much on the mend and his nose has shrunk considerably, it may remain slightly unique in shape due to the length of time it was affected, which is just a small badge of honor for such a brave survivor.
Life in a busy foster home has shown that Mumble is a social butterfly. He currently lives harmoniously with other cats and two very active cattle dogs, and he doesn’t just get along with them, he actually snuggles up with both his feline and canine foster siblings. He is the ultimate welcoming committee and will reliably greet you at the door the moment you arrive home. While he isn’t necessarily a big snuggler who needs to be in your lap, he is more a devoted sidekick who always wants to be right by your side, quietly keeping you company throughout the day.
Mumble is a dream to care for because he is exceptionally clean, quiet, and is even learning to come when he is called. Because he is still completing his recovery from Cryptococcus, he requires oral liquid medication once a day. Fortunately, he is a gold star patient and an excellent medicine taker who doesn't fight or mind his treatment at all, making it a very simple task for an adopter to take over. His foster family cannot speak highly enough of his friendly, easygoing nature. If you are looking for a gentle, smart, and incredibly loving cat to complete your family, Mumble is waiting to meet you!
