Description: My name is Drako.

I am a neutered male, white and black dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 7 months old.
More Info: I am in Kennel 5206
I have been at the shelter since Oct 11, 2026.
About Me: Drako is the kind of dog people dream about finding in a shelter — a genuinely good boy with a proven history of being a wonderful companion. He was adopted from the shelter about a year and a half ago, but through no fault of his own, he was recently surrendered by his owner on May 8th and is once again searching for stability, commitment, and a family to call his own.
According to his former owner, Drako is easygoing, active, and incredibly friendly. He did well with children and people of all ages, and new visitors to the home were no big deal for him — he settled in quickly and happily welcomed company. He previously lived with both a small dog and a large dog, used the dog door appropriately, and knew how to relax at home by entertaining himself with toys when left alone.
Drako isn’t just handsome and friendly — he’s smart, too. He already knows commands like sit, stay, come, give paw, and no, showing that he’s had training and enjoys engaging with his people. He’s also been to dog parks where he socialized and played with other dogs. Here at the shelter, Drako continues to impress everyone by walking nicely on leash without reacting to other dogs around him.
Dogs like Drako don’t come around every day. He’s affectionate, well-mannered, adaptable, and clearly accustomed to being part of a family. What he needs now is someone willing to give him the lasting commitment he deserves — whether through fostering or adoption. Drako is a Very Good Boy who already knows how to love a family. Now he just needs one willing to love him back for good. He's available for foster or adoption, or foster field trips, so come down and meet him today!
