Description: My name is Rocky.
I am a neutered male, black and brown dog.
I am a neutered male, black and brown dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 8 months old.
More Info: I am currently being fostered and am not at the shelter.
I have been at the shelter since Sep 01, 2026.
About Me: Rocky is a 1.5-year-old, handsome, energetic boy who is ready to leave the shelter and start his next chapter with a family of his own! He sadly arrived as an owner surrender and is neutered and ready to go home today.
This playful guy is happiest when he’s doing something. Fetch is one of his favorite games, but really, Rocky loves to play just about anything! You may hear him barking up a storm in his kennel, but don’t let that fool you — he’s often just trying to tell us, “Hey, when is it my turn to get out and play?” Once he’s outside and getting the attention and engagement he craves, his sweet, playful personality shines through. He can even get a little jumpy when he’s eagerly waiting for that ball to be thrown!
The shelter environment has been especially difficult for Rocky. Being confined to a kennel with limited activity and engagement has left him showing signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He’s a young dog with a lot of energy and a lot of love to give, and he needs an environment where he can decompress, learn, and thrive.
Rocky would do best with a family who can give him structure, consistency, a routine, and training to help him learn some manners and adjust to new environments. Daily walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of interaction will be important. And if you’re the adventurous type, Rocky would probably be thrilled to join you for hikes and other active adventures!
Give this sweet boy the chance to trade his kennel for a couch, a ball, and a family who will keep him busy and help him become the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Rocky is ready to get out of the shelter and start living!
