Located At: The Animal Foundation - Las Vegas
Description: Shelter staff named me Swiper.
I am a male, black and white dog.
I am a male, black and white dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old.
More Info: I was found around 5900 Sierra Cliff St, North Las Vegas Nv 89031, which is in the 89031 area.
I am in Kennel 5137
I have been at the shelter since Sep 09, 2026.
About Me: Meet Swiper, a handsome, resilient, and gentle boy who is making massive strides every single day and is ready to find a supportive forever home, foster placement, or rescue partner! Swiper was initially very scared and overwhelmed by shelter life, but he has shown incredible, 10-fold improvement as he gains confidence. He was very easy to approach in his kennel, accepted treats, and slipped onto the leash smoothly. In the yard, he crouched down calmly, took treats gently, and let the leash clip on with zero issues. Once outside, Swiper is a loyal shadow who loves keeping an eye on his human friends, quietly following you around the yard as he takes in his surroundings. He is also a big fan of delicious beef jerky treats, especially when offered with a soft, patient hand. Swiper has shown wonderful manners around other dogs. He is completely calm and non-reactive, even approaching the fence line to meet another dog politely while wagging his tail! Because Swiper is still working through shelter fear and can be a little hesitant at first, he will thrive in a patient, supportive environment where he can feel secure, decompress at his own pace, and continue his amazing progress. If you have a gentle heart and a quiet home to help this sweet, resilient boy bloom, Swiper is ready to meet you! If you would like to get to know him better outside of the shelter environment, ask staff about our foster and rescue programs to give Swiper a well-deserved break from the shelter. Come meet Swiper today!
