Description: My name is Rocky.
I am a male, tan dog.
I am a male, tan dog.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 months old.
More Info: I am currently being fostered and am not at the shelter.
I have been at the shelter since Oct 15, 2026.
About Me: Meet Rocky, an affectionate 8-month-old pup who is ready to find a loving forever home or foster placement!
Rocky came to the shelter as an owner surrender with a fantastic background. His previous family shared that he is active, friendly, and protective, having successfully lived with teenagers and a big dog. He already knows commands like sit and no!
At the shelter, Rocky has proven to be a total lovebug who loves giving hugs and soaking up affection. On lead, he walks pretty well, though he can get a little nervous in new settings and do small circles before settling in. When passing other dogs, he may bark to announce an active dog going by, but he ignores quieter dogs and comes right over when called.
This clever boy is very treat-motivated and eager to learn—he gets extra enthusiastic for snacks as he works on putting on a little healthy weight! Playtime is also a huge hit with Rocky; he loves chasing after balls and brings them right back to keep the game going.
With his playful energy, sweet heart, and great foundation, Rocky will make a wonderful, loyal addition to an active household.
If you are looking for a playful, affectionate, and smart young companion to join your family, Rocky is ready to meet you!
If you would like to get to know him better outside of the shelter environment, ask staff about our foster programs to give Rocky a well-deserved break from the shelter. Come meet Rocky today!
