Description: Shelter staff named me Veggie Straw*.
I am a spayed female, tan and white Pit Bull Terrier.

Meet Veggie Straw (aka GiGi or Straw)!
Q: Does Veggie Straw have experience with kids or other dogs?
A: Yes! Since being in foster care, Straw has done wonderfully with both teenagers and other dogs. She recently met several dogs in a backyard setting and handled the introduction beautifully, showing friendly and appropriate social skills.
Q: How does Veggie Straw show affection?
A: Straw loves being close to her people. She'll softly lean in for pets and has already mastered the art of relaxing in the sunshine while keeping an eye on her family.
Q: How would you describe Veggie Straw?
A: Gentle, intelligent, friendly, sweet, and affectionate! She's settling into foster care beautifully and continues to show what a wonderful companion she can be.
Q: What are some of staff's and foster's favorite things about Veggie Straw?
A: One of our favorite things is that she seems to have picked her own nickname! While "Veggie Straw" is adorable, she's happily answering to "Straw" and "GiGi." Her foster family reports that she's been a perfect houseguest and is doing amazing.
Q: What type of treats does Veggie Straw like?
A: She's not picky—she enjoys both soft and crunchy treats!
Q: What tricks does Veggie Straw know?
A: She already knows sit and paw and is currently working on spin. She's smart, eager to learn, and loves positive attention.

A: Straw has been quiet and well-mannered in her crate, enjoys spending time with her people, and is proving to be an easygoing, adaptable pup. Her foster family reports that she's fitting right in and making new friends wherever she goes!
