Kanga is a two-year-old, 34-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix who has been patiently waiting since mid-July for her new family to come and take her home.
When she first meets someone new, Kanga likes to take her time getting to know them. She’s not the type of dog who’s going to be immediate BFFs with every person she meets—but once she trusts you, you’ve got a friend for life.
If you have another dog at home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet-and-greet with Kanga at the shelter. As with any new dog joining your family, slow introductions at home are also important to help everyone get comfortable and set the relationship up for success.
Kanga may need a little time to warm up, but we promise—she’s worth the wait. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will form a special bond with her people, come spend some time getting to know this sweet girl!
