Meet Sugar, a 1-year-old American Staff mix who is ready to trade shelter stress for the comfort of a furever home! Sugar can be timid and easily startled in unfamiliar situations, but once she feels comfortable, her fun-loving personality comes shining through. She has greeted people with a loose, wiggly body, leaned in for affection, jumped up for pets, and shown off her playful side. A patient home who can give her time to settle in and build confidence could make such a difference for this sweet girl.
Sugar has shown us she definitely knows how to have fun with canine friends! She recently met two similar-sized dogs, Taco Tuesday and Napkin, and was playful and friendly with both. Sugar quickly tried to start a game, bouncing around, running playfully, and throwing out her front paws. She also had a successful meet and greet with two young children!
Sugar has so much potential—she just needs a loving home where she can decompress, feel safe, and let everyone see just how sweet this Sugar really is!
