Dr. Bones, MD (A091554) is a 4-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to trade shelter life for the comfort of a loving home. This handsome guy has shown us that once he is out of his kennel, he enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing and exploring, and walks nicely on a loose leash. He takes treats gently, knows “sit,” enjoys ear scratches, and has even shown a playful side—playing with toys, bringing them back, and inviting staff to tug with him.
Dr. Bones can be a little unsure in the shelter environment and would benefit from a home where he can decompress and let more of his personality shine. While walking through the kennel area, he has passed several dogs without trying to approach them and has simply ignored them; however, the notes provided do not include a direct dog-to-dog introduction, so any resident-dog match should be handled thoughtfully.
