Meet pretty and petite Diana!
Diana is a beautiful 4yo dilute calico who is looking for a place to rest her head. If you google calico cats the first thing you will see is that they generally exhibit 4 distinct character traits: Bold/assertive, affectionate on their terms, talkative and curious/energetic. Diana fits these to a tee and I'll tell you why.
1. Bold/Assertive - She knows what she wants (or doesn't want) and isn't afraid to let you know. She will hiss if she feels that you aren't listening to her. If she wants you to pet her, she will gently paw at your hand. Also, why wouldn't you be petting her? See #2.
2. Affectionate on her terms - This is exactly how she is. When she wants pets, she wants pets and is the sweetest cuddly muffin imaginable. When she doesn't want pets, see point #1.
3. Talkative - Diana is a chatterbox. You never have to wonder how she's feeling. You will hear chirps, merps, hisses, the occasional growl (although these are more her being unsure of herself in new situations than her wanting to be mean), meows, purrs, chitters, you name it. Be prepared to talk back to her. In addition to talking with her voice, you can look at her facial expression and know exactly what she's thinking. Her eyebrows will talk to you.
4. Curious/energetic - Diana, while nervous in new places, is a very curious being. She will sniff every corner, explore every blanket, look at every toy and evaluate it in her own way. Her favorite toys are fluffy mice with feathers on them.
Now that you know what she is like, let's discuss what she's looking for in a home. Diana is not a fan of other cats. They stress her out. She wants to be your one and only. Diana has met dogs. She doesn't like them. They scare her, so even if you've got the most chill dog, it's a no go. Sorry! Because Diana is, lets say, opinionated about her human interactions we feel she would be best in a home without small children. Teenagers who understand her body language and are willing to respect Diana's space would be ok. If you are interested in meeting this pretty lady, feel free to email her foster mom at milwaukeecuratored@gmail.com to arrange an appointment. All meet and greets will take place in Diana's foster home.
