Kaia is an incredibly sweet, intelligent girl who arrived as a stray on March 4, 2025. She is heartworm negative and is ready to leave the stress of the shelter behind for a committed, active home where she can show off her amazing skills!

• Toy Genius: Kaia is exceptionally bright and highly toy-focused! She loves to play fetch and knows how to drop the ball and roll it back to her handler. She spent an entire outing focused on this fun game, showing she is happy and engaging with all people.
• Wonderful Manners: She is cheery, joyful, and happy with people. She knows boundaries and is careful not to overstep a person, showing great respect and trainability. She rides well in the car and is ready for fun "snout and about" adventures.
• Easy Handling: She is easy to leash and her leash walking is generally above average. When she pulls, it is manageable, and she walks smoothly to the yard.
Kaia is a dog-selective girl whose personality and behavior completely change around other dogs in the shelter environment. She needs to be the only pet in her home to truly thrive:
• Only-Pet Home Required: Kaia has serious impulse control and assertiveness issues around other dogs. She can be reactive when passing kennels and has been muzzled in playgroup due to unsteerable behavior and being overly forward.
