Kaia arrived at the shelter on 3/4/25 and has been patiently waiting for a home where she can truly shine—and trust us, this girl knows how to shine. Kaia isn’t just fun… she is the party. Always ready to go, always up for the next activity, and happiest when she’s on the move with her people.
She’s a smart cookie who already knows cues like sit, paw, drop it, and wait, takes treats gently, and is eager to learn more. She can get a little enthusiastic on leash (life is exciting, after all!), but her motivation and focus make her a great candidate for continued training with an active adopter.
If you like fetch, Kaia loves fetch. Actually—loves might be an understatement. She has a huge ball and toy drive, will reliably bring the toy right back, drop it, and stare you down like, “Okay… throw it again.” Her passion for play even earned her a feature on a local radio station, where staff shared stories of Kaia happily lounging around, rolling her ball from person to person to keep the game going. Iconic behavior.
Kaia rides reasonably well in the car, enjoys being out and about, and thrives with consistent interaction and structure. She’s affectionate, people-oriented, and would do best as the center of attention in her home. She’s selective with her dog friends and is happiest when she can focus all her love, intelligence, and personality on her people.
