This handsome guy with the perfect pointy ears is ready to find his forever home. He’s a friendly fellow and recently transferred to us from another shelter to get a fresh start. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for?
Notes from his adventure buddies and foster friends:
"He is very energetic and was not shy at all. He is very playful and loves playing with toys and running after a ball. He was able to be picked up with no issue to be placed into the car and once inside laid down and was very calm on the ride. He is usually very quiet but likes to bark when playing with other dogs. He has a lot of energy and loves to sniff around while outside (and pee to mark his territory). We went to get a pup cup and then headed to a trail to walk around outside. He met some more friends and played with his toys and ran around. While playing, some other older dogs came by and he was very playful and friendly with them! He was very sweet and affectionate towards people and dogs."
"Gator is a sweet and curious guy! He’s very loving and friendly with new people. He really seemed to enjoy walks, treats, and exploring. He also did good in the car!"
"He is so sweet! He barked when strangers were walking towards us, but was really friendly when we said hi to some friends. He doesn’t jump. He pulls slightly on the leash when he wants to sniff and mark territory. He is interested and barks at other dogs. He loves trail running and hiking with me; we did about 4 miles with stops along the way. He randomly gets the zoomies and will try sprinting but calms down once he realizes he can’t with the leash. He loves to sit in the front seat and rest his head by you while driving. He is a great running buddy! He is very sweet and curious. He has an adventurous spirit and loves exploring."
"He was very friendly and good around people. He seems to be good around other dogs as well."
"My husband and I took Gator on two different Dog Day Out hikes and really enjoyed spending time with him. He is cheerful, affectionate, and loves spending time outdoors. Gator is also the perfect medium size. He is an excellent hiker and likes to mix trotting down the trail with periodic stops to sniff. On one hike it was a hot day and he enjoyed lying in a pond to cool off. He seems a little nervous about unfamiliar dogs and when we passed another dog on the trail he would bark once and then try to go in the opposite direction. He is excellent in the car and spent most of the time lying in the back seat with his head in my lap. We took him home one day and he loved running around in the back yard and chasing sticks. In the house he was calm and respectful and only chewed on his stuffed toys. Gator is an excellent companion and just wants to find a loving family."
