Hello! I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I needed treatment for some skin issues. Staff noted that I was very sweet and food motivated! I hope you'll consider making me part of your family!
Insights from friends, fosters, or adventure buddies:
He's a goofy, loving cuddlebug. He's a wiggly, hilarious dog who wants nothing more than to be your shadow and stay close. He starts off with a burst of high energy but quickly settles into a sweet, gentle lovebug who craves close physical contact and couch cuddles. He will keep you giggling all day and will even serenade you with light, adorable snores. Very polite on walks and loves sniffing out the neighborhood. Showed great manners when seeing cats behind a baby gate and never barked. Extremely food-motivated and eager to engage. Chew toys needed! He is a passionate chewer, so durable chew toys will be his absolute favorite and they'll likely help keep him from chewing on things he should not chew. For riding in a car, he may do better in a crate or with a safety harness rather than being left loose.
"We have been fostering Grench for just over 24 hours now and he is such a ham! He is absolutely hilarious and wants to be in your business 24/7. He will lick you whenever presented with the opportunity to show his love. Grench is incredibly good motivated. He’s shown zero food aggression with people or animals. I can pet him/mess with his food bowl while he eats. We’re learning manners so he waits while the food is being placed. He has no problem going into the kennel when he needs a break. If we leave the door open, sometimes he will take his toy in there and just relax. Grench has only had a few accidents in the house (as expected). He is learning quickly where to properly use the bathroom. Grench loooooves to chew on anything he can find. So make sure you have a lot of toys to redirect him. So far, he’s done great being introduced to my two dogs. He will bounce around them wanting to play but isn’t aggressive. When he starts running around to play, he could easily knock younger children down by accident - so he might do best in a house with older children. He is an absolute love bug. He plays hard and then plops down to relax. Grench loves a blanket to cuddle with. He won’t chew and destroy them but will get the blanket situated in his mouth so he can use it like a pacifier to soothe himself."
