I am a beautiful girl and I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am very sweet with people but my previous owner reports that I generally do not do well with other dogs. I'm love to go on a walk and I'm all smiles when having fun with people.
Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:
"Bee is a social butterfly! She is a wonderful car rider, and wanted to meet everyone around her. She thrives off of human interaction! Bee is a happy-go-lucky dog who enjoyed being anywhere with human presence. We took Bee walking around Duke University, shopping at Petsmart, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and another walk around Pritchard Park Library Loop. She is a very sweet dog who was just happy to spend time with us. Bee’s calm and friendly nature allowed us to really get to know her!"
"Very very sweet, adorably clingy. Loves to walk and meet strangers. We went to get her a pup cup and she was not interested. We went on a long walk and she was very friendly to strangers and loved walking. Then we went back to my place and she sat with us and watched TV and slept a little bit. Her overall demeanor is very friendly and sweet."
"We started out in the front yard to acclimate her. She went to the bathroom, walked around and even rolled in the pine straw. We were able to give her a belly rub. Then we hopped into the car. She jumped right in and headed for the back of the car (trunk area). She seemed to have been trained to do this. She rode very nicely in the car and patiently looked around while we were driving. We took her first to Starbucks, and she wasn’t interested in the pup cup or treats offered. Then we took her for a walk on a partly shaded, open-wooded trail nearby, which I would highly recommend (North Chapel Hill trail). She seemed to enjoy walking and did a great job on the leash. We ran a bit to see if she was interested in running and she did so without any issues, but we think she may have liked walking better (or at least we did). She enjoyed the trails and sniffed frequently along the way. When I needed to pull her out going into the weeds or when we needed to redirect our path, she responded very positively and took our lead. She has a sweet and pleasant demeanor. She wasn’t shy or timid, nor was she aggressive or overbearing in anyway. After walking for about an hour, we returned back and cooled off in the AC. She did very well sitting in the car to cool down and relax. She enjoyed having people around, but wasn’t always vying for attention either. She seems adaptable to whatever situation she would be put in. We didn’t interact with any other dogs or people so it’s hard to say how she managed those situations. She also seems to be at the sweet spot where she just passed the puppy age and is willing to play and rest during the appropriate times. She has good healthy energy, but not unfettered puppy energy. She is a gem for sure and I hope she find someone who will absolutely appreciate her sweet disposition."
