Description: My name is Aeri.
I appear to be a female, black and tan Hound mix.
I appear to be a female, black and tan Hound mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year old.
Weight: I weigh approximately 40.40 lbs.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 18, 2026.

I came to the shelter as a stray, so my history is mostly a mystery.
Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:
She is shy and timid at first, but warms up very quickly. She is super friendly and great around people, other dogs, and other stimuli. She’s timid around other stimuli but she’s a curious girl and likes to brave her fears. Super gentle taking treats. She fell asleep on the couch beside us and loved snuggling. She’s loved the car, and loved walking and did not pull at all. She was perfect, and would do great in any home. We got her a pup cup, and took her for a walk. We then took her back to watch a movie on the couch. Starting to watch her personality come out over the few hours we had her.
She is very shy at first, but will cuddle after a few minutes of getting adjusted. I think her personality would be best showed in a quieter place so she can come out of her shell. She does well and becomes more playful after enrichment time. She would do very well in a home where she could spend time cuddling and being lazy. She is not super treat motivated at this point and does not like to eat until she's had some adjustment time. She gets cuddly after a little adjustment time.
