More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jun 29, 2026.

Landon came to us as a stray, so his history is mostly a mystery. He took a while to warm up to us. But, now that he has warmed up, he's the most adorable little potato. He'll still need patient, kind people to go slowly with him and help him continue to blossom - he'd love more help learning how to socialize and find his place in the world. He's just under a year old, so he's ready to learn! He can be nervous meeting new people, so a home with no children or older childen would likely be best. Very young kids are great but they can be very unpredictable and may have trouble respecting his boundaries as he adjusts.
Insights from adventure buddies and foster friends:
"Landon was very sweet! He was a bit shy and nervous when we first got him but when we started our walk on the pumpkin loop he settled right in! He was confused on how to get in and out of the car but once we lifted him in he just laid down in the back very calmly. On the walk he did very well and was excited to sniff around! Bikers, walkers, and other dogs passed us by and Landon showed an interest in watching them but didn’t lunge or anything at them! On our dog day out, we went on the pumpkin loop trail which is a little bit over 2 miles! Landon did an amazing job on our walk and was a wonderful walking buddy! After the pumpkin loop we took a car ride to Starbucks where Landon had a pup cup which he loved! My favorite thing about Landon was how calm he was. He was excited to walk on the trail and to be with us in the car but never jumped on us or tried to get in the front seat!"
"I had Landon for a weekend sleepover while my family was out of town. He's a good boy, still basically a puppy. It took him a little while to start feeling comfortable in the house but after a day or so he started to relax more and his playful side emerged, though he still had some nervous energy. Landon will need someone to teach him some basic commands like any young dog, but he is already housebroken at least. He was very friendly toward every person and dog that he met on his walks, but he will also need some leash work because he just wants to make friends with everyone he sees (even the deer). He didn't bark at all and he's not a jumper. Landon seems to naturally enjoy being outside, so a fenced backyard would be a plus for him. He'll be a great dog for somebody."
