Weight: I weigh approximately 65.00 lbs.

I am currently at the shelter. If you are interested in meeting with me, please stop by Orange County Animal Services during open hours (no appointment is needed!). You can stop by from 10am to 6pm during the week or 10am to 5pm on Saturday.
Hello! I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I'm a large, handsome guy and I'm hoping for a second chance at a nice life.

"Rico went on a Dog Day Out. He was very nervous at first, he was shaking when we (my 9 year-old and me) got him in the lobby. Very skittish when we walked him next to the parking lot. However he relaxed in the car pretty quickly and enjoyed a pup cup from Starbucks. When we got home he was very hesitant to get out of the car and go inside but eventually he did. We relaxed in the house with him for a while and let him get comfortable, which he increasingly did. He even got overstimulated and tried some humping, but neutering will likely help with that over time. He's a sweet dog, just needs a little time to get comfortable with his surroundings."
"He was so sweet and good on walks! he refused to get into the car untill we took him for a little walk but then brought him to Franklin street and he had perfect behavior. Definitely took him some getting used to us but once he did he was so loving and smiley. We went to downtown Franklin and got him a pup cup! He was a little rough on the car, definitely needs blankets down (his claws will scratch because he stands the whole time) and something to keep him from climbing into the front but he really enjoyed the ride."
"Rico is an energetic and playful boy that was so excited to be around anybody. He loves to snuggle up with you and give you tons of kisses. He does super well on a leash and was happy to be greeted by strangers on our walk. He always has the biggest smile on his face and would be a loyal companion! We took Rico back to our house and let him sniff around. He got comfortable super quick so we decided to take him on a walk. He doesn’t pull at all on the leash. When he walks he will have bursts of speed and then walk super slow. It was so funny. He made it a whole mile and a half. He took a quick nap when we got back and passed out on our pillows. We played inside for a little and snuggled on the couch until it was time to return him. We couldn’t stop just looking at Rico and admiring his fur and adorable smile. He is super sweet and immediately warmed up to us as soon as he got in the car."
