I appear to be a female, brown tabby and white Domestic Shorthair.

Age: The shelter staff think I am about 16 years old.
Weight: I weigh approximately 8.50 lbs.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 04, 2026.

Notes from my foster:
"Since I've taken in Ling Ling on August 6, she has been very shy around people and would hide - which was very understandable being that she is now in an unfamiliar place. But the good thing is that she is eating, drinking, and using the litter box and through the pet camera I am using, she is being active at at certain points at the night where she is chilling outside of her safe space (which is the Winnie the Pooh Hunny Pot bed). I think she is still getting used to her surroundings, and I think with time and with the help of FELIWAY Classic pheromones spray/scent, I think she will open up and feel safe and loved. My favorite thing about Ling Ling is that even though being in an unfamiliar foster home is a scary experience, she showed bravery and decided to still come out of her only place she felt safe to explore. I think being there with Minor, another cat who was surrendered with her, really helped her confidence. I truly believe in Ling Ling and with given time and patience, I know that one day Ling Ling will open her heart and know that there are people out there waiting to love and care for her."
"Ling Ling is slowly doing better every day as she is getting used to her surroundings. She seems to be opening up a little bit more and would come out of her safe spot to explore her foster room, with the help of her friend, Minor, and FELIWAY classic. She is still very shy and skittish and is working on her socialization, but I know that she is doing her very best. She is making slow but steady progress and allows me to gently pet her head, rubs her cheeks and chin without flinching as much as when she was first welcomed to my home. I hope that with given time she can see that I am her friend and that she can learn to trust me, and I cannot wait to see how far she much progress she will make.
October 2026 Update: It’s taking some time, patience and love, but for the first time, Ling Ling purred and leaned into my hand to practically 'beg' for more pets and head rubs. She is starting to become a lot braver and seeking out of her safe space and understanding that I am not a threat to her. On occasions, she will still seek shelter to hide but I do spot her coming out of her safe space more frequently, which is a great improvement. Today was also the first time I heard her purr and she purrs so loud!!! I’m so proud of her and can’t wait for her to continue to show improvements!!"
