A271625

Description: Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Tartar Sauce.
More Info: I was brought to the shelter as a stray but am now available for adoption. If you think this animal is your lost pet, please contact the OHS Customer Service Supervisor at 613-725-3166 or cssupervisor@ottawahumane.ca.

Bio:
Name: Tartar Sauce Age: 6 years
Breed: Domestic Short Hair Sex: Male
Colour: White Size: 3.50 kg

The staff at the OHS call me a Star! Stars tend to be self-starters and like to spend part of their day on independent activities, like exploring every nook and cranny of your home! They also enjoy time with their family, but usually on their own terms. Their favourite family activities may include playing with engaging toys, participating in fun training games, or curling up for a nap somewhere close by. Stars are usually pretty resourceful and like to figure out how things work, so they benefit from places to explore and perches near windows. Stars may also be good candidates for harness training and leash walks outdoors! If you're looking for an entertainer with loads of personality, a Star might just be the purrfect match for you!

From my Foster Family: "Tartar Sauce is a small boy who craves affection but is still a bit shy to receive it. When he gets excited (mostly by food) his ears turn very pink and he jumps around like a bunny during zoomies. He is very social with humans and loves to be wherever you are. If you adopt him, he will certainly be a companion for life."

I have a tip fracture on one or more of my canine teeth. This is a common dental fracture in cats. A tiny portion of the tip of the canine tooth/teeth is missing. A veterinarian will need to evaluate the affected tooth/teeth under general anesthesia using dental x-ray and dental probing.

I also have exhibited a poor quality coat while in OHS care.

I am looking for a home with kids 14+. I like to be handled on my own terms.

I am currently relaxing in a foster home as I wait for my forever family. Please contact an adoptions staff to book an appointment to meet me!

If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application at https://ottawahumane.ca/adopt/adoption-application/. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
