The staff at the OHS call me a Star! Stars tend to be self-starters and like to spend part of their day on independent activities, like exploring every nook and cranny of your home! They also enjoy time with their family, but usually on their own terms. Their favourite family activities may include playing with engaging toys, participating in fun training games, or curling up for a nap somewhere close by. Stars are usually pretty resourceful and like to figure out how things work, so they benefit from places to explore and perches near windows. Stars may also be good candidates for harness training and leash walks outdoors! If you're looking for an entertainer with loads of personality, a Star might just be the purrfect match for you!I had a thin, short, or patchy coat while I was at the shelter. This could be from a variety of reasons, from a food allergy to skin condition or illness-but we don't know for sure. I am currently doing well and my coat is growing in. It may continue to improve or I may need further diagnostics, treatment, or other care from a veterinarian.

I am overweight, and I will need a veterinarian to oversee my weight loss plan to make sure I lose weight safely. I may need a prescription veterinary diet and regular veterinarian visits to follow my progress.

I have some dental tartar on my teeth, and some associated gum inflammation. I will likely require a thorough oral health assessment and dental cleaning under general anesthesia within the next year.

I may have trouble cleaning my back end due to my weight and I may need help in my new home to keep myself clean.

If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application at https://ottawahumane.ca/adopt/adoption-application/. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
